PRINT FILE GUIDE

Package digital art files for delivery

Give buyers clearly named files, usable print dimensions and archives they can extract independently.

Check the listing’s total file allowance

Etsy currently allows up to five files per digital listing, with a maximum of 20 MB per file, and accepts ZIP files. These limits were checked on 7 September 2026. Consult Etsy’s current digital listing documentation before uploading.

What PrintPack exports

Each artwork gets named JPEGs, instructions and a CSV manifest. The manifest lists actual pixels and print dimensions at 300 PPI. Each independent ZIP is capped at 19.5 MB. Download all ZIP parts for the artwork, then extract and check them.

The archive cap applies per ZIP. If you sell several artworks in a single listing, count all of their archives together. Separate artwork packages may exceed the listing’s five-file allowance; this beta does not combine an entire multi-artwork listing automatically.

Before sending the files

  1. Check that each intended artwork and ratio is present.
  2. Open the JPEGs and inspect crops, orientation and important details.
  3. Compare your advertised sizes with the manifest’s actual dimensions.
  4. Review buyer instructions for your shop and print provider.
  5. Keep a copy of the originals and the delivery archives you listed.

JPEGs are already compressed; putting them in a ZIP does not guarantee a large reduction in size. If one JPEG is too large for an archive, PrintPack stops that artwork and asks you to choose a smaller long edge. It does not silently lower the export quality.
